I am thrilled to be returning to my Connecticut home-away-from-home Norwalk for my second season with Shakespeare on the Sound!
I'll be appearing in HAMLET as Guildenstern and Osrich, and our particular adaptation is set in 1952 Denmark, shortly after World War II, with the country still trying to shake off the horrors of the great war.
This play marks an interesting first for me; it will be the first time that I've ever played a role twice in different full-length productions. It's been a unique challenge to make my Osrich of this play different then my interpretation from a few months back, but it has been refreshing easy to reinvent the character into something entirley new.
As Shakespeare is my usual dish, I have a feeling I'll be re-visiting past roles again quite soon. Nice to know that there are so many permutations of a single character that I can bring to life.
HAMLET runs June 16th - July 3rd at Pickney Park in Rowayton, Connecticut, and is directed by Claire Shannon Kelly.
Tues - Thurs performances are totally free.
Fri-Sun performances are $20 adults, $10 seniors and children 12 and under get in free!
Please join us for another wonderful summer of picnics, wine, and Shakespeare!
